The Vox Valvetronix (VT/VTX) is a modeling amp with a real valve in the power stage and models from Vox chime to modern high gain. Pick the model, then set gain and EQ.
Choose the amp model. The model is the core sound: Vox AC/Clean for chime, Boutique/Tweed for blues, Brit/Recto for rock and metal. Vox chime is the signature clean.
Clean / chime. A Vox AC or clean model. Gain low, Bass 4, Middle 5, Treble 6, add reverb — the classic jangly Vox chime.
Blues / classic rock. A Vox AC pushed or boutique model. Gain 4–5, mids present, light reverb — great edge of breakup.
Rock. A British/Plexi model. Gain 5–6, Bass 5, Middle 6, Treble 6.
Metal. A modern high-gain (Recto-style) model. Gain 7–8, Bass 6, Middle 5, Treble 6, add a noise gate.
Use the Tone Room app. The free Tone Room app lets you swap models, edit effects and download presets — a fast way to dial and save.
