🎛️ Orange Crush

Orange Crush settings by genre

The Orange Crush has a big, thick, mid-rich voice. The 20RT/35RT have clean and dirty channels — pick the channel, then dial gain and the simple Bass/Middle/Treble EQ.

  1. Clean channel. For cleans and pedals: Volume to taste, Bass 5, Middle 6, Treble 6, add the reverb (RT models). Warm and thick.
  2. Blues / classic rock. Dirty channel at low gain (3–4), mids up (Orange is naturally mid-rich), Treble 5–6. Rolls back clean with your volume knob.
  3. Rock / hard rock. Dirty channel, Gain 5–6, Bass 5, Middle 6, Treble 6. That thick Orange crunch suits riffs well.
  4. Metal. Dirty channel, Gain 7–8, Bass 6, Middle 5, Treble 6. Add a noise gate. The Crush is naturally thick, so watch the low end.
💡 Orange amps are naturally mid-rich and thick — use the dirty channel, keep the gain controlled, and you rarely need much treble. Roll your guitar volume back for cleaner tones.
