🎛️ Line 6 Pod Go

Line 6 Pod Go settings and best amp models

The Pod Go runs the same HX amp and cab models as the Helix in a simpler, fixed-layout floor unit. A patch is built from blocks: an Amp+Cab (or separate Amp and Cab/IR), plus Wah, Volume, a drive, a noise gate and time/mod effects. Pick the amp model first, then shape it.

 1. Choose the amp + cab block. This sets the voice. For clean use US Deluxe / Litigator; for crunch use Brit 2204 (JCM800) or Brit Plexi; for high gain use Cali Rectifire (Rectifier) or PV Panama (5150). Pair each with its matching cab or a good IR.
 2. Metal / high-gain. Amp PV Panama or Cali Rectifire. Drive/Master to taste, Bass 5–6, Mid 4–5 (slight scoop), Treble 5–6, Presence 5. Add a Noise Gate block and a Minotaur/Tube Screamer drive block in front to tighten the low end. Don’t max the amp’s drive — it adds fizz.
 3. Rock / hard rock. Amp Brit 2204 or Brit Plexi. Drive 5–6, Bass 5, Mid 6, Treble 6, Presence 5. A light overdrive block as a boost adds sustain and cut.
 4. Blues / classic rock. Amp US Deluxe or Brit Trem (AC-style). Drive 3–4, Bass 5, Mid 6–7, Treble 6. Ride your guitar volume; add a touch of spring reverb.
 5. Clean. Amp US Deluxe or Litigator. Drive 1–2, Bass 5, Mid 5, Treble 6, add reverb and maybe a chorus. Excellent as a pedal platform.
 6. Effects, IR and global EQ. Pod Go has fixed FX slots plus Wah, Volume and a 4-band Global EQ for the whole rig. Load third-party IRs in the cab block for a more realistic cab. Use the Global EQ to fix the room or FRFR/PA, not the individual patch.
💡 Build the patch amp-first, keep the amp’s own drive moderate, and use a Tube Screamer-style block for tightness rather than cranking the amp. The Global EQ is for matching the room — set patches flat, then correct globally.
